What we collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each request, as every web server does. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted on the host’s normal schedule.
Location, only if you ask. The “Near me” button asks your browser for your location so we can sort labs and contractors by distance. The coordinates are sent to our server for that one search and are not stored. If you decline, the site works without it.
Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply and, for listing corrections, so we have a record of the change.
Listing claims. If you claim a business profile, we keep the business details and contact information you provide so we can publish and maintain the listing.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses only the cookies needed to run it. If we add a privacy-focused analytics tool, it will not use cross-site tracking cookies and this page will be updated to say so.
Third parties
Maps are drawn with tiles from OpenStreetMap, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; each of those providers receives your IP address when your browser requests the files, under their own privacy policies. Affiliate links take you to the seller’s site, where their policy applies. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you through the contact page. We answer within 30 days. California and other state residents have the rights their state law provides, and we honor them.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
